GENERATION GAPS AND AGEISM WORKSHOP, The PCC Speakers Series

The GENERATION GAPS AND AGEISM workshop will help participants grasp the various generations present in the community and understand what motivates them and dealing with them on a regular basis. The workshop will also discuss ageism, stereotypes, generations, and provide some examples of dealing with the generation gaps and ageism issues as we continue to infill and grow as a community.

 

2 Part Workshop Objectives:

  • History behind generation gaps and ageism
  • What are Traditionalists, Baby Boomers, Generation ‘Xers, & Generation ‘Yers
  • Differences between each type of generation and finding common ground
  • Learn about Ageism and its issues (i.e. Stereotyping, Ageism Terrorism, etc.)
  • Develop strategies for mastering the age conundrum
  • Group discussions on generation gaps and ageism
  • Leave with a workable action plan on dealing with the issue of ageism

 

 

Date:   October 5th and 12th, 2022, 10am to Noon (coffee/tea and cookies at breaks)
