“Identity theft?  Nah, that won’t happen to me.”

Identity theft is a serious crime that happens more often than you might think. It is a crime where your personal information—anything from your name, driver’s license, or Social Insurance Number—has been -compromised by an imposter who intends to commit fraud in your name.  Join Parksville Probus when Stephanie Benedict from Coastal Community Credit Union details ways to protect personal information, provide interesting tips for preventing identity theft and information about the current top scams.  Identity Theft & Fraud Prevention  is being held on May 25,  9:15 a.m. at the Parksville community Centre 223 Mills Street.   Contact Laila membership@parksvilleprobus.ca to register as a meeting guest and/or considering  a  membership.    Please know there is a $5.00 cover charge.
