DESCRIPTION:Press Release\nFor Immediate Release\nPop-Up Recycling Depots Return to 1080 Industrial Way in Parksville\nBrought to you by the Parksville Community Centre Society\nParksville Pop-Up Recycling Depot adds new dates for summer, fall and winter 2026\nA closer option to recycle items that normally require a 20 km trip to Nanaimo\nAccepted materials: Flexible plastic packaging, white and coloured foam packaging, non-deposit glass bottles and jars, paper packaging, and cardboard\nNORTH VANCOUVER, BC (June 2026) – Recycle BC, the not-for-profit organization responsible for residential packaging and paper product recycling across British Columbia, has announced an extension of the Parksville Pop-Up Recycling Depot event series for summer, fall and winter 2026.\nHeld in partnership with the Parksville Community Centre Society (PCCS), the pop-up depots take place at 1080 Industrial Way, Parksville, on select Saturdays from 10 a.m. – 3 p.m.\nUpcoming 2026 dates:\nJuly 11 and July 25, August 8and August 22\n*Three week break;\nSeptember 12 and September 26, October 10, Thanksgiving Weekend and October 24, November 7 and November 21, December 5 and December 19\n \n“These ongoing events are a win for both the community and the environment,” said Albert Ruel, President of the Parksville Community Centre Society. “We’re proud to help make recycling more accessible for residents who would otherwise need to travel to Nanaimo.
