DESCRIPTION:\n\n\n\nCNIB is hitting the road to bring our innovative programs to life in your community!\n\n\n\nMeet the CNIB Mobile Hub – a new program delivery model where we visit your community to deliver in-person programming at no cost to you.\n \nWe’d love for you to join us when we visit Parksville on Wednesday, March 29 at the Parksville Community Centre.\n \nAt the CNIB Mobile Hub, you can participate in recreational and social activities, hands-on technology training, and more. You’ll also have access to the latest breakthroughs in assistive technologies, as well as tried-and-true favourites from CNIB SmartLife, all available for purchase by credit card or debit card. Our free programs are designed to educate, entertain and engage community members who are blind or partially sighted as well as their families, friends, and caregivers.\n \nWe kindly ask participants to register for programs at least one business day before the start date. Come and learn all about our jam-packed day, meet our staff and shop in our store! Accessible products are available to test and purchase by debit or credit. View the accessible product catalogue to browse the most popular items from CNIB SmartLife’s wide range of helpful consumer products.\n \n2. Introduction to Accessible Technology: Wednesday, March 29, 10:30 a.m. – 11:30 a.m. PT. During the Mobile Hub visit to Parksville the CNIB Tech team will demonstrate the benefits of using assistive technology for work, school. Join Julia and Amit for an Introduction to Accessible Technology and learn new tools and tricks to add to your toolkit! Register for Parksville Intro to Accessible Tech.\n \n3. Peer Support: Wednesday, March 29, 12:00 p.m. – 1:30 p.m. PT. Peer Support groups give you the opportunity to connect with others who are living with sight loss.
