The workshop will also discuss ageism, stereotypes, generations, and provide some examples of dealing with the generation gaps and ageism issues as we continue to infill and grow as a community.\n \n2 Part Workshop Objectives:\n\nHistory behind generation gaps and ageism\nWhat are Traditionalists, Baby Boomers, Generation ‘Xers, & Generation ‘Yers\nDifferences between each type of generation and finding common ground\nLearn about Ageism and its issues (i.e. Stereotyping, Ageism Terrorism, etc.)\nDevelop strategies for mastering the age conundrum\nGroup discussions on generation gaps and ageism\nLeave with a workable action plan on dealing with the issue of ageism\n\n \n \nDate:   October 5th and 12th, 2022, 10am to Noon (coffee/tea and cookies at breaks)\nPlace: Parksville Community Centre, 223 Mills St, Parksville, Room 109\nAdmission Fee: $5.00 or by Donation\n
